William Dowd Obituary
Mr. William Stephen "Steve" Dowd, 65 of Fayetteville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Village Drive, Fayetteville with Rev. Matthew Copple officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:50 PM on Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church prior to the service.
Mr. Dowd was the son of William David and Patsy Woodall Dowd. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, David Stephen Dowd and a brother, Mark Dowd. He was retired from Goodyear Tire Company.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Faircloth Dowd of the home; daughter, Stephanie Burch and husband, Levi of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Nathaniel McDougald, Kenneth McDougald, Payton McDougald and Allison Dowd; son-in-law, Kenny McDougald of Monroe; two sister, Cathy Jackman (Galen) of Virginia, Pam D'Alessandro (Rob) of Leland; brother, Randy Dowd (Maria) of Staten Island, NY; and extended family, Sherida, Nicholas and Ty.
Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2505 Village Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC.
