It is with a heavy heart that I recently learned of the passing of Sir William Duba. I was one of his sponsored children in the Philippines many years ago, and I wanted you to know just how much he meant to me.

Through his letters and his unwavering support, he became a guiding light in my life. He encouraged me to stay in school and taught me the value of character. Because of him, I was able to graduate and build a life I am proud of.
He didn't just sponsor a child; he changed a life and a family's future. We will carry his memory in our hearts forever.

May he rest in eternal peace.

With deepest gratitude and sympathy,

LARNIE BANAAG

his beautiful home we visited in Rhode Island. We had Thanksgiving there one time when I was younger and I will always cherish those amazing memories I had with him. I am continuing his legacy in the Army. He´s always been someone I looked up to, and he was always so proud of me while I was on my JROTC journey, and now military. I know he´s going to be watching me from heaven travel around the world in the military just like he wanted me to. I love you great grandad.
