William Henry Durham, born on November 27, 1937, in Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025. A man of considerable talent and dedication, William enjoyed a fruitful career in Human Recources, where he made significant contributions while working at IBM and National Micronetics. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to operate his own consulting company, through which he garnered respect and admiration for his work and accomplishments.
William was an alumnus of Muhlenberg College in Allentown PA, where he studied psychology, a field that enriched his understanding of the people around him and contributed to his outgoing and engaging personality. He was affectionately remembered as a sweet, social butterfly who had a remarkable ability to connect with others.
A man of diverse interests, William found joy in golf, fishing, and jazz music. He was also passionate about woodwork and expressed his creativity through his art drawings, leaving behind a legacy that resonated with his imaginative spirit.
He is survived by his two beloved daughters, Dacia Durham and Erika Durham, and two grandsons, Gabriel and Ezekiel Durham-Campbell. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who cherished his company and shared countless memories with him.
William was preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea Nicolelli, and his parents, Maggie and Joseph Durham Sr., who nurtured him in his formative years.
A memorial service to celebrate William’s life will be held on September 3, 2025, at Joseph Jenkins Jr Funeral Home in Richmond, VA, at 2PM. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by William are encouraged to attend and remember the warmth, kindness, and joy he brought to the world. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
