William "Roland" Easler, age 76, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center-Cleveland. Roland was born April 26, 1942 in Cherokee County, SC, to the late Wallace Monroe Easler and Dolly Gibson Easler. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a plumber for most of his life, loved playing the guitar and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by one son, David Easler and daughter, Melissa Easler Stacey; two sisters, Melrose Easler, Pat Easler and brother, Gernard Easler. Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Wallace Easler and wife, Jennifer of Mooresboro and Hoyt Easler of Rutherfordton; a daughter, Kay Bright of Chesnee, SC; three brothers, Wayne Easler of Greenville, SC, Jack Easler of Beaufort, SC and Bernard Easler of Cleveland County, NC; one sister, Sandra Marlene Pendley of Ohio; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A private viewing and time of remembrance will be held at the funeral home.

I love and miss you so much rolho !! I know you would have me at least some tires if we didn't have a car to put em on yet we'd sale them maters till we did lol .. you was a heck of a great man though you spooked me alot but I am thankful for you and your family and all y'all taught me and yeah even Conrad lol .. love you until we meet again

The last thing you said to me was, you know I love you, right? You family. I'll never forget that. I will miss you so much. Your grotesque humor, your laugh, your stories about how you wrestled a gator and lost your leg (), your songs and guitar playing, your biscuits and orange cake, your knowledge...everything, Uncle Roland! I miss you so much & am so happy I got to be apart of your life this past 7.5 years. I love you and can't wait to see you in heaven. RIP uncle Roland.
