Carolyn E. Dutton, 76, of Weatherford passed away Tuesday Morning, July 7, 2020.
Visitation: 5-7 pm, Friday, July 10, 2020 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Funeral service: 1PM, Saturday, July 11, 2020 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment at Zion Hill Cemetery.
Carolyn was born October 16, 1943 in Plainview, Texas to Clinton and Falybe Braswell Elliott. She worked in the credit department at CD Hartnett until her retirement. Carolyn was a longtime advocate for our veterans. She was an active member of the Parker County American Legion Auxiliary Unit 163 as she served several times as President of the Unit. Carolyn was also active with the Department of Texas, holding the office of 17th District President and the 4th Division President, which was her favorite ALA position. She was also active in additional committees, including cancer research. Her mentorship and leadership skills left a lasting, positive impact on the lives of many.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Wanda Elliott; granddaughter, Stacey Dutton and her mother and father in law, Olen and Vola Dutton.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Dan Dutton; children, Denna Parham(William), Shonda Magness(Jerry), Tommy Enos, Dina Dutton and Jared Dutton; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
