William Copeland Erschen
June 17, 2002 – April 24, 2022.
Born in Rock Hill, SC.
William was an adventurer at heart. During his younger years he played soccer from the age of four to thirteen, goalie was his chosen position and was great at it. During his teen years he found a love for the outdoors. Many times, William would take a walk just to be outside and clear his mind. There was something about the fresh air and woods that brought him comfort. Most recently, during his time in Asheville he took up hiking trails. It is here that William found peace with life.
Survived by his mother, April and husband Brien Ayers; Father, Les and wife Aubrey Erschen; former stepfather Jeremy Hunter; brothers Timothy Hunter and Jordan Breeden-Wells; and sister Kinsley Wells.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 20th at 2 pm at Mount Holly Church.

Aquamation services are provided by Clay-Barnette Funeral Home and Aquamation Center in Shelby, NC

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to get to know him as his teacher. He had a sweet soul. Prayers for comfort and peace.

William will be missed. He had a servants heart. He would come on Wednesday nights to church to help with Wednesday night suppers. He was there to work and have fun. He messaged me about every 3-4 months. He messaged me while still in Asheville. I will miss him, but am comforted knowing he´s safe now. I loved him and he will be missed.
