EUDAILEY, William Albert III "Bill", friend, husband, father and grandfather, passed peacefully at home in Cotuit, Massachusetts, on December 12, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. To know Bill was a blessing and a gift. His life was defined by hard work, kindness and family.
Born in College Grove, Tennessee to parents, William Albert Eudailey, Jr and Margaret Elizabeth Lee Eudailey, Bill spent his early years working on the family farm and a nurturing a fascination for mechanics. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Tennessee in 1969. Bill was a pharmacist by trade, but his intellect, integrity and personality took him around the world, working in Life Sciences and Biotechnology. He ultimately settled in Massachusetts, having worked for the companies Millipore, Costar, Corning and Biopure over the years. Bill's professional accomplishments were rarely mentioned though, as he was most proud of his family. He cherished time with his children, whether skiing in Maine or fishing in Cape Cod.
He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne; his sister, Bobbie Tackett; his three sons, Jason (Melissa), Kyle (Mary Hayward) and Todd; his five grandchildren, Judson, Foster, Edie, Ashton and Robert; his three stepchildren, Michael Cronin (Karen), Jessica Field (Peter) and Alex Cronin (Kat); and his three step-grandchildren, Jake Cronin, Mariana Field and Mac Field.
Bill approached the world with an analytical mind, but he approached people with grace, patience and genuine care. His passion for family was rivaled only by his passion for cars, boats, motorcycles and the complexities that accompanied them. His life and legacy will continue with the values and love he generously shared with family and friends.
Graveside Services will be held in College Grove, Tennessee, on Saturday, January 18, at 3:00 pm, at College Grove Cemetery. May his memory and smile bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
