William Edward "Eddie" Favors

William Edward Favors Jr., lovingly known as "Eddie," passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on September 27, 1963, in Atlanta, Georgia, Eddie proudly served his country as a United States Marine Corps veteran.
He spent most of his adult life in Nashville, Tennessee. Eddie was an avid Georgia Bulldogs football fan and loved spending time outdoors...especially camping with his family and riding through the countryside with his dad.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kyle Edward Favors; his mother, Dorothy Mae Thompson; and his wife, Darlene Yurt.
Eddie is survived by his daughter, Brittany Nicole Hawkins; his stepson, Mark Yurt; his granddaughter, Loria Yurt; his father, Clarence Jene Thompson; his brothers, Cory and Chris Thompson; his niece, Kaylen Hall (Drew Hall); and his four great-nieces, Natalee, Baylee, Marlee, and Everlee Hall; as well as his sister-in-love, Dani Sue Thompson.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home. Military honors will be rendered at the close of the gathering, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
