William Archibald Febus III passed on from the physical world to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on September 2, 2024, following a courageous 3- year battle against lung cancer. Born on July 18, 1969, in Brooklyn, NY to parents Susan Febus Martin and Guillermo A. Febus II, William was a loving, stouthearted and creative soul. Referred to by his family as "Billy", his friends as "Phoebus" and his wife as "Crabby", William touched the lives of countless individuals through his humor, creativity, courageousness, and the way he expressed his love towards those who were close and special to him. William was an exemplary artist with a special gift for drawing graffiti. His skills however extended way beyond that of ink and paper. He had a love for movies and filmmaking and created several short films of his own. In his earlier life, he worked with his stepfather, Pastor Bob Martin building haunted houses. William could play the piano by ear. He was an excellent chef and could create the most exquisite, delicious meals. You could ask William to build and or take apart and fix anything. He had a special love for car restoration. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and held many fond memories of playing baseball for St. Mary's as a young boy. He was also a huge John Travolta fan and always recounted the time he saw John filming Saturday Night Fever on 86th Street in Brooklyn. Although oftentimes misunderstood, William was a sweet and sensitive soul and if you were close to him, you knew how big of a heart he had and how much love he had to give. He had unwavering courage in the face of life's difficulties. He would always say there is no point in worrying about things that have not happened yet. William will be deeply missed by both his family and friends. As part of his immediate family he leaves behind his wife, Megan Richards and step son, Spencer Fennick, his Mother Susan Febus Martin, his sister Shannon Febus Deevy and her husband Dennis Deevy, his brother Ketih Febus and his wife Michelle Febus, his brother Robert Martin and his wife Hanna Greenlee Martin, his sister Wendy Francis and her husband Paul Francis along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In memory of William's life and the brave fight he fought against Cancer, we encourage donations be made to Cancer research programs including the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) or the American Cancer Society.
