William S. Ferguson

William S. Ferguson, age 68 passed away at home, in his sleep, October 28,2023
Willie was born August 23,1955 in West Allis, Wi to Malcolm and Maryanna (nee Schepka) Ferguson. He married Kathryn M. Dieck on September 11,1978.
Together they have two children Charles W. Ferguson (Raymond) and Amanda M. Ferguson (West Allis).
He grew up in Racine and was a graduate of Horlick High School Class of '73. Willie served in the Marines from '73 until '76. He worked as a Pattern Maker for Industrial, Rite, and Badger Pattern. A car accident forced him to find other work so he went back to school in 1998 attending MATC. He gained experience working in tl1e Media Center while attending classes until graduation in 1999. He also worked in Student Government 1998-1999.
He achieved Associate Degrees in Microco1nputer Specialist Business Analysist (1999) and Network Specialist (2000) from MATC and a Bachelors in Industrial Manage1nent (2005) fi:om Wisconsin Stout. Willie also worked for the US Census 1999-2000. He got to meet Bill Gates and has a picture of the two of them at MATC in the class room while a student. He retired from MATC in May 2023.
Willie moved to Raymond in 1984 and raised his family in the country. He enjoyed the outdoors and its wildlife. Willie enjoyed photography, taking pictures of birds, turkeys, trees, and just about anything else. While not in school he served as Boy Scout Leader and Unit Commissioner for the Wind Lake troop #332.
Surviving are his brothers and sisters Jim (Rosie), Doug (Judy), Brad (Dorothy), Nancy (Mike), Eric (Diane), Margaret, Tom (Lisa). Aunt Kathleen Narus and cousin Ann Narus. Many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by Grandfather William Schepka, Grandmother Ann Schepka, His Father Malcom Ferguson and Mother Maryarrna Jenkins, brothers Malcom and Alex.
Willie enjoyed life as long and as much as he could. He was a great husband, father, son, brother and, friend. He will be greatly missed by all who met him and especially by those he chose to love. Love you too!
There will be a memorial service with military honors for William to be held at a later date.
