William David "Billy" Ferguson

Mr. William "Billy" David Ferguson, 75, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at his residence, following a period of declining health. Billy was born on July 5, 1947 in Catawba County to the late Jack Baker Ferguson and Catherine McGuire Ferguson Keller. He was employed in the furniture industry with Cox Manufacturing for 38 years, and enjoyed hunting, old classic cars, auto racing and watching wrestling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Ferguson, and two brother in-laws, Bob Hale and Gary Young. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Judy Fincannon Ferguson of the home, two daughters, Lori Hartley (Danny), and Jamie Reinhardt (Derek), and stepchildren, Ginger Phillips (Andy), Annette Mummert (Dennis), Jason Bright (Jennifer) and Joseph Bright Jr. Also surviving are four sisters, Marquita Hale, Cathy Moses (Johnny), Jackie Young and Alice Mace (Steve), grandchildren; Danny (Kristy), Whitney, Braxton and Reese, step grandchildren; Anthony, Jason, Nicole, Karlee, Joey, Brittany, Cody and Jeremiah. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. at East Valdese Baptist Church.
