William T. Ferreri Jr., Local Real Estate Broker

William T. (Bill) Ferreri Jr., 73, of Lewes, DE, passed away at home after a long illness. Bill is survived by his loving partner of 15 years, Madge Paterson; three children – Mar, Billy, and Robert Ferreri; and five grandchildren.

Originally from the Bridgeport/Norristown, PA area, Bill spent most of his career in telecommunication sales and was National Account Manager with AT&T, and later the Director of Telecommunications and Computing for ICI Americas in Wilmington, DE.

Bill loved the Delaware beach and bought his first vacation property in 1989. He said just coming across the bridge from Wilmington made him calm and in his "happy place." An avid golfer, Bill enjoyed the many beautiful local courses with his best buddies.

Bill moved to the beach full time in 1995 and started in real estate sales with O'Connor, Piper & Flynn. He obtained his Real Estate Broker's License in 2001. Bill opened Bay Coast Realty in Rehoboth Beach in 2002.

Throughout his real estate career, Bill served on the board at SCOAR and on several key committees. He also achieved the following real estate designations: GRI, CRS, and ABR. But most meaningful to him was teaching the Real Estate Principles Licensing Course and Broker's Licensing at Del Tech for nearly 15 years.

His positive impact as an instructor touched many agents working in the beach real estate market. Words always used to describe Bill were kind, ethical, knowledgeable, and loyal-qualities sometimes hard to find in the ultra-competitive world of real estate sales. Bill proudly received the Sussex County Association of Realtors Lifetime Achievement Award in December 2024. Bill will be missed by his family, many friends, and all of his Bay Coast Realty agents.
