William Hardy Fields, III age 56 of Paducah, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, 4:12 p.m. at his residence.
As William grew, he nurtured his Christian faith as a member of First Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and increased his formal education as a graduate of Lone Oak High School in McCracken County.
William was a quiet, easy-going man who had a passion for collecting trains. His gentle personality was a perfect fit for his position in the areas of security and maintenance for Whitehaven Welcome Center, a historic rest stop for visitors traveling through Kentucky on Interstate 24.
William was called from his earthly presence to be with his Lord. Preceding him in death were his father, William Hardy Fields, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, William Hardy Sr. and Lovie Fields and his maternal grandparents, Roy and Mildred Parham.
Leaving to cherish his memory are his mother, Vivian Parham Fields; three sisters, Cheryl Jackson, Jacqueline Carruthers, and Karen Titsworth, all of Paducah; three uncles, Clarence Fields, Mark Fields, both of Paducah, and Ray (Diane) Parham of Indianapolis, IN; four aunts, Marilyn Bryant of Paducah, Carolyn (Wallace) Lambirth, Myra Cox and Brenda Corneal, all of Indianapolis, IN; four nieces, Nicole Gary, Jessica Titsworth, Brittany Titsworth, all of Paducah, Danielle(Thomas) Philipose of Atlanta, GA; two nephews, Justin Titsworth of Paducah and Adonis Jackson of Louisville, KY; eight great-nieces, Lauren Gary, Brooklyn Gary, Sidney Wilson, Laya Titsworth, Kyla Titsworth, all of Paducah, Denver Philipose and Rye Philipose, both of Atlanta, GA and Haley Wilson; two great-nephews, Kaisann Kendrick and Layke Titsworth, both of Paducah; a host of cousins and other loved ones.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2022, 12 Noon at Smithland Cemetery in Smithland, Kentucky.
Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Pettus Rowland Funeral Home to process to Smithland.
There will be no visitation.
