Hi Jean and family,
Please accept our sincere condolences on your loss of Bill. Wendy and I attended the beautiful memorial service at the Middlebury Congregational Church today and regret we had to leave immediately afterward for another funeral service in Rutland. The music and readings were perfect for the Bill I knew and the Homily by Rev Nagy-Benson and Words of Remembrance by John, Tim, and Adam were extremely moving. I knew Bill, dating back to our UVM medical school years, and he was my personal physician and my Dad's as well. We always found him to be thorough, compassionate, and a wonderful listener, far more interested in comforting, guiding, and doing the right thing for his patients, than in going along with the ever-increasing pressures in the medical profession for "productivity" from a numbers perspective.
We grieve with you at this time, but are very grateful for his life!
With warm memories of Bill, caring thoughts, and our prayers for your comfort and healing,
Al Covey

Sad news. Will was my Sophomore roommate at UVM (Undergraduate '66) and a good friend. Sincere condolences to Jean, Adam and David.
