William Dean Francis, age 83, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2023 after a long battle with various types of cancer. He resided in Hebron, IN. with his wife April for the past 45 years. Bill was born in St. Marys West Virginia. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Boilermakers Local 374, Hammond and of the American Legion Post 94 in Valparaiso, IN. After retirement, Bill found he had an artistic flair and enjoyed painting and crafting. He loved to sing karaoke and had a rich deep voice as he sang country songs. Bill was preceded in death by his parents- Kenneth Francis and Nan Rock; son- Mark; siblings- Elizabeth, Kenneth and Edward. He is survived by his loving wife- April; children- Kenny, Jennifer Phillips, Scott, Russ and Bryan; 8 grandchildren and 4 bonus grandchildren; daughter-in- laws and son in law; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.
