William Edward Frasch (Bill) was born in Lancaster, Ohio March 2,1942, and peacefully died in his home May 1, 2025. He was the only child of John and Reba Frasch. He was a proud west sider graduating from Lancaster High School in 1960 and always maintained many friendships and contacts within his hometown. He was an Eagle Scout, an avid hunter and enjoyed sporting clays his entire life.
Bill graduated from Ohio Northern University, Ada, Ohio in 1965. He dropped out of college after his freshman year when his close, beloved father died. During the summer of 1962, Bill met his beloved wife, Jane. They dated and graduated from college in 1965. They married that summer and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July 2025.
Bill started work with Gulf Oil Corporation out of college which moved he and his wife to Indiana. They remained there their married life, mostly in the South Bend area. He started Frasch Oil Co. in the early 70's and sold the successful business several years later. Bill became a respected commercial real estate broker. He loved his career and will be remembered by many friends and business associates. He always kept up friendships and connected with them throughout his life.
Bill and Jane were proud parents of two children, Jennifer Renee and John Stewart. He is survived by his wife Jane, Daughter Jenny and family members; sister-in-law Elizabeth (John) Dues, brothers-in-law, Frederick R. Bode, MD, James S. (Carolyn) and Robert B. Bode, MD., (Jody), and many nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his son John, his parents, mother, and father-in-law, R.S. MD.,and Wilma Bode, sister-in-law Ruth Richeson and Judy Bode.
He and his family were grateful and wish to thank Senior 1 Care caregivers Gabriel, Richard and Patrick. Also thank the Center for Hospice Care and the Dr's at Michiana Hematology and Oncology who provided him care during his brief illness with lymphoma.
A special remembrance of love and friendship to the Matthew Gominiak family and the entire Gevas family.
A celebration of life will be held in Bill's honor at Knollwood Country Club, Saturday July 12, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Logan 2505 E. Jefferson Blvd. South Bend, IN 46615 In Bill's honor.
