William "Freedy" Anthony Freed, 65
Sunday, January 11, 2026

William "Freedy" Anthony Freed, 65, of Boyertown, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at his home.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Thomas Freed and Leah Mae (Conrad) Freed.

Bill was a hardworking man and enjoyed getting together with his friends and family. He worked at Boyertown Packaging for many years before working at Merck for a few years. Bill loved hunting, shooting, golfing, watching the Phillies, and football. He was a member of the Rock Run Hunting Camp as well as a member of Liberty, Friendship Hook & Ladder, Gabelsville, and numerous other fire company and clubs in the area. Bill played on a pool team at Liberty for many years with his friends.

Surviving is his daughter Crystal M. Dean, wife of Carl; brother David Freed, husband of Linda; grandchildren Leah Dean and Gabriella Dean; nephews Steven Taylor, husband of Tammy; Michael Taylor; Jamie Freed and cousins Josh Taylor and Abby Trout. He is predeceased by his sister Joan Taylor.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 10th starting at 11:00 at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave, Gilbertsville, PA 19525). Following will be a celebration of life at 2:30 at Keystone Fire Company (240 Walnut Street, Boyertown, Pa 19446. A private service will be held at Hill Church Cemetery at a later date.
