William Hamilton Fritz, age 83, passed away on January 10, 2024, in Cynthiana, KY. He was born in Cynthiana, on February 21, 1940, to the late Wilburn Fritz and Theola Hamilton Rayborn.
William is survived by his wife of 63 years, Charlene Parsons Fritz; two daughters, Beth (Jimmy) Withers, Leslie (Nick) McCarty; four grandchildren, Daniel (Sarah) Withers, Katie (Ryan) Howard, Nicholas McCarty, Matthew McCarty; and three great-grandchildren, Joy Withers, Addison Howard, Malcolm Withers.
A lifelong farmer, William was involved in the farming community and many of their committees throughout the years. He was on the council for Burley Tobacco, United Producers, KY Farm Bureau and the Harrison County Beef Cattle Association. William served as the Harrison County District 6 Magistrate for 12 years, and he was a lifelong member of Unity Christian Church.
Funeral services for William will be conducted on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be held the evening prior at Ware Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Bro. Sammy Harris will preside over services, and burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery following services. Pallbearers will be Daniel Withers, Sarah Withers, Katie Howard, Ryan Howard, Nicholas McCarty, Matthew McCarty, Lydia McNees and Brandon Barnett. Honorary pallbearers will be as follows: Sam Faulkner, Paul Lynn Tucker, Gary Carter, Larry Wells, Jeff Brunker, Charles Parsons, JR Hill, Gene Richie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harrison County Beef Cattle Association, 668 New Lair Rd., Cynthiana, KY 41031. View and sign the guestbook at www.warefuneralhome.com.
