Sorry to hear of the passing of the wonderful Bill Galbraith, an important gentleman from the earliest phase of my TV news career. My television news career began in the early 1980s, while I was still in college there in DC, helping out on the assignment desk. It was still the era of clattering teletype machines delivering the latest news to our newsroom, and fax machines to send scripts to our correspondents at the White House, etc. Lots of great memories. (This is the same newsroom captured so perfectly in James Brooks' great film "Broadcast News.") RIP, Mr. Galbraith. Thanks for tolerating a newbie, and for giving me a chance!

Sending love and appreciation of his long and distinguished life. I have many fond memories of Bill throughout Marion´s and my high school days and all the years since. Broadcast news was never better than when he was on the assignment desk!
Love to you all.
