William H. Galloway

William H. Galloway, age 72, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Born on March 12, 1953, in Salina, KS, he was the beloved son of the late Jack and Olive Allison Galloway. William worked as a Security Officer for Raytheon and was known for his love of gardening, watching football, and reading. He never met a stranger and was a Southern Baptist by faith.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2025 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Pastor Dwayne Uzzle officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors beginning at 11:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Galloway of Dyersburg, TN; a son, Benjamin H. Galloway of Ripley, TN; a daughter, Lynda Puckett (Joshua) of Dyersburg, TN; a sister, Patricia Schmidt of Jewett, TX; four grandchildren, David James McGilvray (Alysia), Victoria Ives (Jacob), Leona K. Campbell (Coley) and Robert William Hitch; and four great-grandchildren, Helen McGilvray, Olicia McGilvray, J.J. McGilvray and Henry Ives.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jack Galloway and Terrance Galloway.

Serving as pallbearers will be David James McGilvray, Robert Hitch, Joshua Puckell, Paul Bain, Kenneth Lumley and Eric Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Baehler and Ashton Sartain.
