Horan & McConaty Funeral Service & Cremation - Southwest Denver/LakewoodIt is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William Dennis Ganz, who departed this life on October 6th,2025 at the age of 78. Born on August 1,1947 in Big Stone, MN; Bill was the oldest child of William Frank and Lucile Mary Ganz.
He was raised in a military family and therefore grew up in various states and Germany. Their final move was to Colorado, and Bill graduated from Hinkley High School in Aurora. He dedicated his career as a Mainframe Computer Programmer for the Colorado Tariff Bureau and Citicorp
Bill met Susan at Citicorp, and they dated for a year and a half. He proposed on August 1st, and they got married at the Little Chapel of the West in Las Vegas on 8-8-88! He made all the arrangements!
Bill had a love of travel. In fact, Bill and Susan managed to visit every State Capitol during their 37 years of marriage and celebrated Susan’s 70th birthday on a special trip to Paris. He also had a passion for reading, doing puzzles, collecting LPs, and always found joy in feeding the birds. He was so great at puzzles that he usually solved the phrases on Wheel of Fortune before the contestants did. Bill served his community as a volunteer driver for Love INC’s “Love on Wheels” ministry, taking clients to various medical appointments. He enjoyed great conversations with those he served and was always willing to give a ride when needed. Bill leaves a legacy of kindness, humor, love and devotion to his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Ganz, and siblings: Richard Ganz, Patricia Ganz, Stepson Andy Criswell and wife Julie and children. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edward Ganz and sister Teresa Crane. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at St. James Presbyterian Church
3601 W Belleview, Littleton CO on Saturday November 8th at 11AM
