William German Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 19, 2026.
William Andrew German "Will" was a laborer by trade and a fighter by nature. Born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 18, 1963, to the late Barbara and Roy German, Will lived life with passion, resilience, and heart. He transitioned on January 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer-one he fought with strength, grit, and an unshakable will to live. If the word fighter had a face, his picture would be beside it.

Will was a fun-loving man who had a deep love for music; it was the soundtrack of his life and a source of comfort and joy through both good times and challenging moments. He also had an undeniable love for people and an appreciation for connection that made him unforgettable. His laughter, presence, and personality could fill a room, leaving behind stories that will be shared for generations.

Despite the challenges he faced, Will never allowed illness to define him. He met every day with courage and determination, reminding those around him what it truly means to fight with heart.

Will was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Paul German (Patricia).

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Te'Air Shrivers; his brothers, Frederick German and Sterling Nelson (Robin); his devoted support team-his phenomenal sister, Christina German, and his sister-in-law, Angela Garvin-German; six grand children; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Will will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on through the love he gave, the joy he shared, and the strength he demonstrated until the very end.

May he rest peacefully, free from pain, and forever remembered.
