I graduated with Bill. I really remember his positive energy and looking for the good way to do something: both right and fun!
My sympathies to his family and friends, I hadn't seen him in quite some time.

I will never forget Mr. Groetsch's visit to my first grade classroom as a train conductor. Even 16 years later, I still remember the overalls, engineer's cap and train whistle like it was yesterday. His energy and enthusiasm that day meant the world to a group of 7-year-olds. I can only imagine how much more he meant to his family.
Mrs. Groetsch & family: you are in my thoughts. Sending love your way.

Dear Carol and Heather,
We are so sorry to hear about Bill. He touched so many lives, including ours. He will always be in our hearts. We have been talking about his amazing crane machine abilities, the many times he went as a train conductor to entertain the kids, and so many little moments that will always remain with us.

Bill was a wonderful neighbor. He was always willing to help anyone that needed help. He was so hardworking. I will always remember seeing Bill take such great care of the house and yard with such efficiency. I was always so impressed at how he made a big job look so easy, and tried to learn from him, just by seeing how he got things done. Our neighborhood will never be the same without Bill.

Hi Heather
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. It is inconceivable that he has gone. We all had such a great time at your place when he cooked the braized meat for the BBQ, his specialty, to perfection I might add. He was so proud of his culinary "delight". I am sitting here at home just shaking my head. What a shock it must be for you and your family. You have my heartfelt sympathy. When I told Melanie, she began to cry out of sympathy for you and your family and we remembered how much fun we all had at the last BBQ we were all at. So sorry!!!
