William "Bill" Eugene Gueth Sr., 75, of Springfield, died Friday, April 17, 2009 in Villa Springfield. He was born October 5, 1933 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Arthur and Evelyn (Long) Gueth. He served his country in the United States Army with the Military Police during the Korean War. He retired as the Chief Dog Warden from the Humane Society serving Clark County after thirty years. He was a member of the Goldwing Association. Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife Helen (Mendenhall) Gueth; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Stevens and Rusty Madden of Springfield, Lori Gueth of Springfield, Dona and Bob Reifenberg of Beavercreek; four sons and daughters-in-law, Bill Gueth Jr. of California, Jay and Wendi Parkison of Arizona; Mike and Patty Gueth of Springfield, Joe and Tammy Peck of Springfield, four sisters and brother-in-law, Patty Davis, Norma and Dick Thomas of Springfield, Mary Luther all of Springfield, Sue Gueth of Georgia, one brother, Bobby Gueth of Florida; seventeen grandchildren; Cameron, Shayna, Jeremiah, Jacqueline, Dustin, Heather, Allen, Bailee, Megan, Tom, Arron, Kasie, Cody, Cyrus, Kailee, Chris and Heather four great-grandchildren; Faith, Arron, Andrew and Tyler; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Art Jr. and Larry; beloved pet of twelve years Ginger. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Animal Welfare League serving Clark County.
