Why God Made Friends like Bill
God made the world with a heart full of love,
Then He looked down from Heaven above,
And saw that we all need a helping hand,
Someone to share with, who'll understand.
He made special people like Bill to see us through
The glad times and the sad times, too;
A person like Bill on whom we can always depend,
Someone we can call a friend

I'm very sorry for your loss.Bill was a very sweet man.He always looked over me at the lake.I will miss him very much.Y'all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was sorry to be unable to attend the memorial service for Bill on Saturday. He was always a fun person to be around and I know that his loss will leave a big hole in your lives. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Bill will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Bill knew how to cook a Boston Butt (though Bap Bap and he are probably even now arguing over who did it better). He could entertain a 1000 people and be relaxed and have fun. When most men his age were working on crossword puzzles - Bill bought a motorcycle riding it all over the state and probably half the country. Many have said he never met a stranger - so true - I remember not long ago a stranger got a flat tire on his cycle here in Boydton and so naturally someone called Wild Bill. Wild Bill brought his motorcycle trailer in to town. Most folks would have called a mechanic or might have been pressed to take the man's bike to a nearby service station. Not Bill. Wild Bill loaded that man's motorcycle on the trailer and drove it and the man back to Bill's home for the night and then drove the man and his bike all the way back home to NC the next morning. Wild Bill was an adventurer, a ladies' man, a gentleman and our dear friend. And we miss him already.

Rick Scott and Sandy, So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I always loved sitting and listening to his tall tales and always remember him and Uncle Brooks chasing the "Wampus Cat" I think your Dad lived life large and for that be thankfull

I am so sorry for your lost. I used to work at Southeastern Fitness Center with Bobbie and Bill. Also taught aerobics with Karen. I had the opportunity of meeting the whole family and my thoughts are with you at this time. Bill could always make you laugh.

I am so sorry to hear the news of your dad's passing Rick. I only met your dad once but had heard so many stories and had read the article about him in Biker Barz that I felt like I knew him forever. He was a lot of fun at the lake the weekend I came down. I know yall will miss him so much. You should feel proud of the relationship you had with him and all the great times you spent together. I could tell he loved his family and friends a lot. May God comfort you all during this time. Love yall.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I met "Wild Bill" through friends that are neighbors at the lake and fondly remember his tall tales of hunting the wild pigs around the lake for his annual bbq. Always so full of life ~ big smile and laughing. That is the way he will be remembered.
