I sadly just learned of Bill's passing. I was hoping to connect with him after many years. Bill was a wonderful human being--undoubtedly the best I've ever known. I was a friend of and worked for/with Bill in the Kankakee/Chicago area for 10 years ('69-'79). He will be truly missed by anyone who has ever spent any time with him at all. My condolences to his family and friends--Bill was one of the very good ones.

My sincerest condolences to the family. I grew up with his sons(Brad one of my best friends) and I remember William well. He was a true delight be around with and enjoyed his sincere company. He was an amazing father to all his children. My heart aches for my dear friend Brad. I know the feeling.
God rest William's soul and Im sure he's looking down watching over his family.
Bless you all.
Sincere Regards,

Dear Careen and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you. I only met Bill once, at your sister's 70th birthday but I will never forget him. Larger than life, he made a wonderful, lasting impression just with his very presence. I am so very sorry for your loss.

There are many memories to treasure of Bill and we all have our favorites. It was a pleasure working with Bill. I started with Marriott's Division Office when we had approximately 10 employees. He always had a smile on his face, always greeted us and chatted, (no matter what kind of day he was having). His office door was always open to everyone. I especially remember his kindness and a special moment when my Mom passed away and he wasn't able to attend the Service because he was out of town on a business trip. After the Service his son came up to me and said he had a call for me. It was Bill expressing his condolences and apologizing for not being there. Wow, what an example of his heart & soul. This gesture of kindness has forever stayed with me and will never be forgotten it meant so much to me. Glad to have known you Bill, I'm certain you have a special place in heaven!
I will get to shake his hand once again.

We all know that someday our heroes will pass. Bill was someone who I looked up to as a leader, father, and man. He had great influence on me in my career as I am sure he had for many others. I will miss him, I can only hope that someday I will get to shake his hand once again. God bless you Bill!
