He is survived by his wife, Taren Harris; his mother, Ethelstine Harris; in-laws, Jim and Harriet Williams; Siblings, Shelbie Harris, Everard "Horse" (Verlandia), Sheilanne (Michael) Summerlin; aunts, Minnie Wilson, Darlene Flournoy; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Funeral services, Saturday, January 24, 2026, 11 am at Greater Mt. Zion AME Church.

My most sincere condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Boogie. He was one of the most nicest people you could meet. He had such an infectious laugh and beautiful smile. He and my deceased husband Reggie were very good friends for decades. He was a very good painter. He painted my house and so many others and his work was done professionally and flawlessly. It's so sad that he's no longer with us in body, but I'm reminded that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Rest In Power Boogie, your work here is done and God has called you home to rest. We ALL will miss you Boogie. Welcome him to his heavenly home Reggie. Much love my friend.
