William Gene "Bill" Heberer

William Gene Heberer, age 78, of Wild Rose, died on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

He was born July 14, 1947, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of William and Ann Halabuda Heberer. Bill was a 1965 graduate of Nicolet High School in Glendale, WI, and served his country in the U.S. Navy, mostly stationed on submarines. On February 14, 1987, he was united in marriage to Ann Fischer at home in Fremont.

In his younger years, Bill would race hydroplane and single engine boats. He then drove the Mercury Marine racing rig for five years, until he became the owner of Valley Auto Transport in Fremont, driving truck for over 20 years. He loved golf which he picked up later in life when he moved FL.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Kim Yeary; son, James (Jamie) Heberer; stepchildren, Rebecca (Jess) Frisch, Kelly (Jeff) Schilling and Jason Fischer; grandchildren, AJ, Ashley, Adam, Lincoln, Will, Brandon, Dakota (Ashley), Justin, Camden, Annalyn, Olivia, Daniel, Jaxon and Jennilea; great-granddaughter, Sofia; sister, Susan (Guy) Henke; and other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and grandsons, Corey and Brady.
