William Helmick Obituary
William Ralph Helmick, 87, of Woodbridge died Thursday afternoon, November 7, 1991 at Potomac Hosptial.
He was born February 4, 1904 at Durbin, WV, a son of Early and Betty Jane (Simmons) Helmick.
On May 15, 1948 he married Nina Simmons.
He attended Seybert Chapel United Methodist Church and had worked as a mechanic for the Virginia Department of Transportation for 17 years.
In addition to his widow, surviving are two daughters, Bonnie Helmick Fore of Richmond and Patsy Helmick Fiel of Woodbridge; two brothers, Elmer of Monterey and Melvin Helmick of Beidgewater; and two granddaughters, Laura Fore of Richmond and Amanda Diel of Woodbridge.
A service will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday at Obaugh Funeral by William Cane, with burial at Puffenbarger Family Cemetery near Monterey.
Memorials may be made to Hillendale Rescue Squad, Woodbridge, Va. 22192.
