William "Bill" George Herz, 85 of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on the early morning of Saturday, November 1, 2025. Bill born on December 29, 1939 in Illinois. He was the son of the late William and Freida (Frederickson) Herz.

Bill attended local schools in Illinois. He joined the United States Air Force for 6 years. He then moved to Wisconsin to join the Army National Guard where he served for 25 years. Bill's working career including trucking for John Fahrner, Fahrner Trucking and Excavating Inc., and Dave Ladick,Construcks Trucking. He married his loving wife, Delores Janiszewski, on September 14, 1979. Together they raised their family in the Stevens Point area.

Bill loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers and watching NASCAR. He also liked to buy things online that he did not need. He enjoyed playing with his homemade potato cannon and telling jokes. He will be greatly missed.

Bill was preceded in death by his son, William John "BJ" Herz, his parents, and his grandparents.

Bill is lovingly survived by his wife, Delores Herz, and his daughters, Susan (James) Kramer, Billie (Sean Mudgett) Herz, and Lanaye (David) Deverell. He is further survived by his grandchildren Chantel Garski, Chayna (Celso) Rodriguez, Tiara (Troy) Schouten, Robert Dulske, Melissa (Dan) Lammers, Amanda (Tommy) Sage, Katrina Kramer, and Brenda (Tony) Plantz. He is also survived by his great-grandkids Addison, Arthur, Kaydence, Savanna, Jace, Olivia, Sofia, Casey, Sasha, Cora, Xander, Lily, and Naomee.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Bill will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1401 Clark Street, Stevens Point. Rev Jeffrey Hennes will officiate. Inurnment with full military honors will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. The visitation will be on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the Herz Family.
