William T. Hills, 84, of Tunkhannock passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Gay (Magor) Hills, in 2004.

Born on July 28, 1941, in Scranton, he is the son of the late John and Ruth (Richardson) Hills.

He was a 1959 graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Shortly after, he served his country with honor as a United States Marine during the Vietnam Era from 1959 thru 1963.

He spent many years contributing to the success of the Scranton Lace Company and Chamberlain Corporation and later at Procter & Gamble, from which he retired in 1996 with the distinguished title of Tech 6.

Following retirement, William developed his artistic talents, becoming a gifted stained-glass artist. He also found joy in camping and traveling in his RV, pursuits that allowed him to connect with nature and spend time outdoors.

William's greatest joy, however, was his family. He cherished moments spent with loved ones and took immense pride in supporting his children and grandchildren's activities.

Additionally, he was a member of the Mehoopany VFW where he served as treasurer.

He is survived by daughters, Tammi Bunney and husband Brian, Terri Gates and husband Kevin; Traci Steidinger and husband Paul; grandchildren, Dylan, Brian, Devan, Preston, Derek, Jillian, Emily and William; 9 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by brother, John Hills; sisters, Judith Bideganeta, Carol Lennox, Evelyn Kelly.

Funeral services will be held privately. Interment will be held in South Eaton Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in William's memory can be made to Local VFW organization or the Russell Hill United Methodist Church, C/O Peggy Ellsworth 299 Keiserville Rd. Meshoppen, PA 18630.
