William Frank Hoile

William (Bill) Hoile, 89, of Weston passed away suddenly Sunday Oct. 5, 2025. Born to Charles and Rose (Olwick) Hoile on Feb 02, 1936. He married Ruby (Bucksky) Hoile in 1956, they were together 65 years before her passing in 2021. Bill started working at the early age of 8, first helping his father and grandfather farming, driving tractor, and helping to bale hay and straw. After leaving high school, he worked at the H.J. Heinze Co in Bowling Green, until going to the A.B. Caple Co, first in Perrysburg and later in Tontogany. When Alva Caple changed from the alfalfa mill to Caple Farms, he continued working until it went out of business. In 1991 Bill started his own business, H&H Hauling, in Columbus, and then retired in 2001. To stay busy, after retiring Bill and Ruby delivered the newspaper for the Sentinel-Tribune for approximately ten years. Bill was a man who believed in God, family, and hard work, traits he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He and Ruby had four children Robert Hoile, Richard Hoile, Carol (Timothy) Wagner and William (Karen) Hoile. Four grandchildren, one step grandson, and five great-grandchildren. In retirement, Bill enjoyed mowing grass, Nascar, Judge Judy, American Pickers, Food Network, and going to Wendys. He also enjoyed spending time with family and most recently he enjoyed running the streets of Weston and the Weston Cemetery on his John Deere gator. Besides his wife Ruby and his son Robert, Bill was predeceased by siblings, Charlotte (Roy) Fisher, James (Linda) Hoile, Barbara (Anthony) Pasquini, Chritina Hoile, Daniel Hoile and Patricia (Robert) Duron. Bill is survived by three of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, also siblings SR Joyce Hoile OSF, Ronald (Kris) Hoile, Dolores (Robert) Taylor, Charles (Dianne) Hoile, Paul (Emily) Hoile and sister-in-law Susan Hoile. He will also be missed by his grand pets, Tator, Daisy, Blake, Mickey and Esther. Bill was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church in Grand Rapids for over 80 years serving the church as a server/usher until he physically could do it no more. He continued to attend mass as health permitted until his passing. He will have a funeral mass at St Patrick of Providence Catholic Church at 11:00 AM on Friday Oct 24th, with visitation starting one hour prior in the church hall.
