William Patrick Holmes, 78, of Columbus, GA died Monday, December 8, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital.
William was born September 6, 1947 in St. Louis, MO to the late Mr. and Mrs. Homes. He served in Vietnam. Following his service, William retired from nursing at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis. And was a volunteer at Mission Columbus. He was member of Schomburg Rd. Baptist Church and he was a devoted and loving husband and father.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Billy Holmes and James Holmes .
William is survived by his wife, Victoria McCoy Holmes of Columbus, GA; children, Ashley Holmes of Columbus, GA, Janine Irvin (Mark) of Alton, IL, and Sheila Miller of St. Louis, MO; step-children, Amanda Robbins of Columbus, GA, Wilburn Robbins (Ashton) of Columbus, GA, and Christian Dickerson of Belleville, IL; grandchildren, McKinley Robbins, Timothy Zeigler, Addriana Hall, Alex Robbins, and Destiny Holmes; along with numerous other family and friends.
