William "Bill" Arthur Hughes

William "Bill" Arthur Hughes, of Rayville, Missouri, left his earthly home to be in the arms of our Lord on December 9, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Bill was born August 13, 1952 in Chillicothe, MO, to Ilda Bell (Stoffregen) and Earl Junior Hughes, which preceded him in death. He was the second of six children.

Bill graduated high school and joined the Air Force. After serving his country, he went to college at Central Missouri State University, and majored in computer science. He made a career as a computer programmer.

He met his wife, Juanita Ann (Brown), who preceded him in death. They met on a blind date, and they went on to be married in February 1989. In those 36 years of being together, they had two children, John David (his wife Seanie), and
Christina Lee (her husband Tony). Bill was an exceptional PaPa to four grandchildren, Kara, Alex, Addisen and Blake.

Bill was the best story and joke teller. He was a passionate pool player and loved teaching others to play. Bill loved being outdoors and the beauty of nature. Bill was an avid morel mushroom hunter. He was the morel "mushroom dealer" for many of the family.

Bill was the kindest soul, and friend to many. Bill's faith was unmatched. Bill loved sharing the word of God with anyone who would listen. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
