William Lee Hunter, Jr., affectionately known as Bubba, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 14, 2025. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 21, 1984, to Candie Lee Johnson and William Lee Hunter.

Surviving William is his devoted wife of 18 years, Christina Hunter; daughters Aniston and Haidyn Hunter, and son Asher Hunter; father, William Hunter, Sr and wife Jami, and mother, Candie Johnson; sisters, Crystal Hunter, Jennifer Creech (Michael); brother, Daniel Rogers (Hannah); mother and father-in-law, Perry and Rebecca Cooper; as well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends. William is preceded in death by grandparents, John Johnson, Vivian Sewell, Betty Rice and Charles Hunter, as well as his very best friend, Alex Hunt.

He cherished every moment spent with his family. Whether coaching and encouraging his son on the baseball field, supporting his daughters as a proud "cheer dad," or fun dates with his wife, William loved adventure and found joy in being present for those he loved most. His friends will remember him for the many rounds of golf shared and countless hunting trips, his sense of humor and always being ready and willing to help anyone in need.

In recent months, William experienced a renewed faith in Christ, and his family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at rest with his Savior and joyfully reunited with loved ones who went before him.

A visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home on Sunday September 21st from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home on Monday September 22nd at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
