I first met Bill at our Submarine Veteran Base: Placoderm. He greeted me when I first joined the Base. He was so friendly and an Active member. Kathy and I offer our condolences to his Family. His service to our country is a Testament of his Patriotism. He is now with his our Brothers-of-the-Phin on Eternal Patrol. So I say "Sailor, rest your oars".

I met Bill at the Northwest Community Center. He always sat with us at lunch. Our table had a lot of fun playing bingo on Fridays. Bill was a nice person and I enjoyed visiting with him and listening to his stories.

I enjoyed Bill as member of the Placoderm Submarine Veterans. He helped start our local parade float using his trailer. That continues today and we still enjoy it. I thank Bill for his long time membership. Sailor rest your ors. Bob Kirby

Dear family and friends of William,
On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans, we offer our sincere condolences at William´s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are always saddened whenever a fellow "Bubblehead" departs on Eternal Patrol. He served with honor on the USS John C Calhoun SSBN-630, USS Casimir Pulaski SSBN-633, USS Harder SS-568, and USS Stonewall Jackson SSBN-634.
To our "Brother-of-the-Phin" we say, "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. Fair Winds and Following Seas." Thank you for your service to our country.
To the family... "may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you." 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (ESV).
