William Christopher Hyland, a vibrant soul and cherished son, brother, boyfriend, grandson,
and friend, was born on March 29, 2008, to Christopher Neil Hyland and Ruth Louise Williams Hyland. His bright eyes and mischievous spirit brought joy to all those who knew him.
After a weeks long battle with injuries sustained in an accident, we said goodbye on January 10, 2026. Our hearts will never be the same, but we will cherish the life he lived, filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Girlfriend Aylandra St. Julien was at the heart of William's world as a devoted boyfriend. He is survived by his father, Christopher, and his mother, Ruth; his siblings, James Hyland, Brooke(Christian) Dressler, and Isabelle (Colby Brook) Hyland; and his grandparents, Alan and Phyllis Williams, Patrick and Leslie Hyland, and Vicki McBride-O'Brien. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
William's passions included video games, motorcycles, airsoft, military, and his immeasurable love of cats. He was in the process of joining the Marines and hoped to become a pilot. William was a flight leader at the Utah Military Academy. He was a member of the National Honor Society, he had a black belt in karate, and he loved working at Chubby’s with his awesome coworkers and earning money to fund his hobbies.
To honor and celebrate William's life, a funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with a public viewing prior to the service starting at 9:45 AM. In recognition of his spirit and sacrifices, Utah Military Academy will provide an honor guard detail, and the Patriot Guard will escort William to his final resting place.
As we gather to remember William, let us reflect on the cherished memories, laughter, and love he brought into our lives. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us as we move forward.
