William Kenneth "Ken" Ingle, a devoted family man, veteran, and public servant, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, in
Hendersonville, North Carolina. He was 76 years old.
Ken was born on September 2, 1949, in the serene town of Asheville, North Carolina, to John P. Ingle and Mabel "Kit" Ingle. From a young age, Ken exhibited a strong sense of duty and service, which would characterize his life's journey.
Answering the call to serve his country, Ken was a proud member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and later continued his dedication as part of the U.S. Navy Reserves. His commitment to serving others extended into his career, where he worked diligently with the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office, the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, and the York County District Attorney's Office. In each role, Ken demonstrated integrity, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to justice.
Outside of his professional life, Ken was deeply involved in his community. He was an avid volunteer, dedicating countless hours to organizations such as Hospice, Manna, and ABCCM. Through these efforts, he touched many lives and left a lasting impact on those around him.
Ken's family was his pride and joy. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joan Marie "Joni" Ingle, who stood by his side through life's journey. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his children: daughters Heather Marie Snipes and her husband Brian Snipes of Arden, North Carolina, and Dana Foreman of London, England; sons Todd P. Fisher of Panama City Beach, Florida, and Christopher P. Kilmurray and his wife Jessica of Tavernier, Florida. Ken was a beloved grandfather to Elaina Grace Fisher, Katy Marie Fisher, Aubrey Lynn Kilmurray, and Colin Patrick Kilmurray, who brought immense joy to his life.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, John P. Ingle and Mabel "Kit" Ingle, and his two brothers, John Ingle and Patrick Ingle. Their memories, along with Ken's enduring spirit, will be treasured by all who knew him.
In remembrance of Ken, we honor a life marked by service, kindness, and love. Though he has departed from this world, the values he instilled and the warmth he shared will be remembered forever by his family, friends, and community.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked to make a donation to ABCCM or charity of your choosing, in memory of Ken
