William Ervin Ivie (Will) passed away on April 2, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada at age 48. He was born on September 23, 1976 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and service that touched countless lives, as well as family and friends that loved him dearly.

Will is survived by his son, William Steven Ivie (Alexus) of Sparks, Nevada; his parents, William and Susan Ivie of Manurewa, New Zealand; and his siblings: Bonnie Eaves (Jeff) of Highland, Utah; Emily Carter (Tony) of Richfield, Utah; George Ivie (Elizabeth) of Sterling, Alaska; Benjamin Ivie (Stefanie) of Las Vegas, Nevada; Jonathan Ivie (Carleen) of Fernley, Nevada; Zachary Ivie (Allison) of Las Vegas, Nevada; Abraham Ivie (Emily) of Santa Clara, Utah; and Caleb Ivie of Richfield, Utah. He is also survived by 26 nieces and nephews that thought the world of their Uncle Will, and a large extended family who cherished him deeply.

Will was the second of nine children and the oldest of seven sons. Anyone who knew Will well, knew that he was a kind and loving person always ready to help those in need. Will deeply loved his family: his son, William, his parents, each of his siblings, as well as his nieces and nephews. From the time he was young, he was an ambitious worker. He was known for his friendly and outgoing nature, connecting easily with people of all ages. Will loved being outdoors and participating in scouting adventures. He was an Eagle Scout and remained active in service throughout his life, most recently working with the Young Men's organization in his local ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Will had a deep love for music-he played the piano and became an exceptional drummer. He also loved sports, including football, basketball, and racquetball, and could often be found playing games with family and friends.

Professionally, Will spent much of his career in the heating and air conditioning industry.

Will has also been a great service to-and made a significant impact within-the addiction recovery community of Las Vegas, offering friendship, support, and guidance to many.

Above all, Will was proud of his son, Will, whose gentle nature, strong work ethic, and ability to see the good in others brought him immense joy. He especially cherished the way his son treated his extended family, including the many cousins with whom he shared a close and meaningful bond.

Will's presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
