William Jackamonis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Givnish Funeral Home - Cinnaminson on Jan. 23, 2026.
William Robert Jackamonis, Jr., of Delran, NJ, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on January 20, 2026. Born in Mount Holly, NJ, to the late William Robert Jackamonis, Sr. and Mary Jackamonis (nee Manes), he was 72 years old.

Bill was raised in Burlington City, NJ, and later lived in Riverside before settling in Delran, where he and his wife raised their family. He was the beloved husband of nearly 50 years to Jacqueline Marie Jackamonis (nee Catanzariti). Married in 1976, their love story began when they met at a baseball game, a fitting start to a life centered around family and sports.

A devoted and loving father, Bill was the proud dad of Bill Jackamonis III (Amanda) and Jill Nocito (Anthony). He was a cherished "Poppy" to his five adored grandchildren: Adria and Bruce Jackamonis, and Luca, Serena, and Leo Nocito, who were the joy of his life. Bill is also survived by his dear sister, Jeri McAnally, his sister-in-law Katherine Catanzariti, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Bill dedicated much of his life to serving others, both professionally and in his community. He worked for FedEx for 25 years, followed by 9½ years as a manager at the DMV. Even in retirement, Bill stayed active, working for South Jersey Driving School, continuing to referee games, and always supporting his children and grandchildren in everything they did.

An avid sportsman and mentor, Bill was a longtime CYO and high school referee, officiating baseball, basketball, and football. He also coached his children in PAL sports, sharing his love of athletics and teamwork with countless young people. Bill was deeply involved in St. Peter's Parish in Riverside, where his faith and dedication were evident in all he did. He proudly ran the parish carnival, served as President of the Usher Society, and was a familiar and welcoming voice calling Bingo. Known for his generous spirit, Bill loved to work, loved to help people, and was always a welcome source of advice. He also enjoyed family trips to Ocean City and was famous among family and friends for his homemade limoncello.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, January 30, at Jesus, the Good Shepherd Parish, 805 Warren Street, Beverly, NJ 08010, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, Bridgeboro Road, Riverside, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to VITAS Hospice, P.O. Box 645352, Cincinnati, OH 45264-5352, or online at https://vitascommunityconnection.org/.

It was my privilege and honor to meet and get to know Billy Jack by working with him at FedEx. He was warm hearted and welcoming. He was always helpful and supportive. He was a voice of reason and experience. He was consistent and reliable in engaging with others. He knew how to treat people with kindness and respect. I personally appreciated his perspectives.
Bill was a dedicated person with integrity and a strong work ethic. He always knew what really mattered and focused on what really counted. Bill will truly be missed. Heaven has gained a wonderful soul. Rest in peace, Billy Jack, we´ll see you in the morning.

You have my deepest sympathy on the passing of "Billy Jack" to your Family. I worked many games with Bill over the past several decades. Even to this day, I sat and talked with Bill as we watched our grand children at many sporting events. RIP my good Friend, Lou V.
