William Bruce "Bill" Juhnevicz

Niantic - William Bruce Juhnevicz, 89, of Niantic, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at his home.

Bill was born in Worcester, Mass., June 5, 1936, the son of John and Lillian Juhnevicz. Bill was the husband of Carolyn (Wispolis) Juhnevicz who survives him. Bill and Carolyn were married Nov. 8, 1958.

Mr. Juhnevicz graduated from Worcester Polytechnical Institute. Upon graduation, he entered service in the United States Army. After completing his Army service, he started his engineering career at General Dynamics Electric Boat where he had been employed as a mechanical engineer for 41 years.

Bill was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Niantic.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by a son, Stephen Juhnevicz, and his wife Diane (Scussel) Juhnevicz; daughter-in-law, Eileen (Prior) Juhnevicz; and grandchildren, Connie and Jamie Juhnevicz. He was predeceased by a son, William B. Juhnevicz II; and a sister, Joanne Wilson.

Bill was an avid woodworker, black belt in martial arts; and he continued to practice and teach Tai Chi. Bill also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
