William M. "Bill" Kettman, 65
Late of Shorewood. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sept. 26, 2025, at Northwestern Memorial after a courageous battel with AML Leukemia. Born and raised in Joliet, resident of Shorewood for the past 34 years.
Bill graduated from Laraway Grade School in 1974 and Joliet East H.S. in 1978. Retired from Kozol Brothers after 30 years of dedicated service. Bill's greatest passion was attending his boy's and grandson's sporting events where he was their biggest supporter. Bill loved golfing, bowling, the Alabama Crimson Tide and working in his yard. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceded in death by his beloved father, William C. Kettman; in-laws, Norman and Theresa (nee Sternisha) Wittkofski; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Julia (nee Cafferty) Kettman; maternal grandparents, Louis and Rose (nee Talarico) Fondriest; aunt and uncle, Patrick J. and Joyce (nee Fondriest) O'Neil.
Survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Diane (nee Wittkofski) Kettman; two devoted sons, Timothy of Joliet and Steven (Sarah Riola) of Shorewood; cherished grandson, Ryan; loving mother, Patricia (nee Fondriest) of Joliet; siblings, Debbie (John) Cicero of Joliet, and Scott (Collette) of Shorewood; brothers-in-law, Donald (Deborah) Friend of North Aurora and David Wittkofski of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Debra Neidetcher of Joliet; cousins, Kimberly (Edward) Golob and Patrick K. (Jennifer) O'Neil, both of Lockport; loyal and devoted companion, Brutus; several loving nieces, nephews and great-nephews; many other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society or the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at O'NEIL FUNERAL HOME 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport. Funeral Thursday, October 2, 2025 with Chapel Prayers at 9:15am and Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 10:00am at St. Dennis Church in Lockport. Cremation Private.
