William "Bill" Blair Knipp, age 69 of Hayes, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Hampton VA Medical Center. Bill was born in Maryland on September 25, 1955, to the late Charles and Eugenia "Mack" Davis Knipp. Bill spent a proud 22 years in the Navy. He worked as a recruiter, helping others begin their military careers. He was a proud Baltimorean who loved his steamed crabs. Bill loved to cook and entertain guests, always keeping everyone laughing. He enjoyed watching all sports and listening to Jimmy Buffet music. He was especially proud of his family, whom he loved fiercely. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by many loved pets, Jack, Sunny, Abby, Sophie, Nala, and Swish, all of whom he looked forward to reuniting with in heaven. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Linda Rowell Knipp, son Charlie Knipp, daughter Katie Knipp, and five beloved grandchildren, Lucy, Otillia, Josiah, Logan, and Madelyn. Brother Roger Knipp (Debra), long-time friend Robert "Moose" Myers, brother-in-law Wayne Rowell (Theresa), and many loved nieces and nephews also survive him. In memory of Bill, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306. Services are private and under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home & Crematory.
