My thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time ... but as I said before, your Dad/husband is in a better place now. Since I can't make the services as you already know, I want to share some memories ... Admittedly they go back a few years but important anyway.
Lutefisk ... Not many people like lutefisk ... your Dad and Mom did. So for several years we'd go to Hayward where they had a fabulous feast. LOL. Mari and I ate other things, Bill and Harry ate Lutefisk ... LOTS! Then sometimes stop for ice cream after.
Barron Spotlighters ... Hours and hours spent working at the theatre with your Mom and your Dad by default. He was always available and helpful. And made sure he went to all the shows ... multiple times. Had no choice ... Mari and I were there all the nights.
Accidental meeting at Dairy Queen and/or restaurant in Barron. Used to be Susie's ... not now. Lunch together and "chit-chat".
12 Angry Men ... Your Dad was in it ... I directed it. Great show. Wish he'd of been on stage more ... but he was when he was really needed. I remember one time ... I had arranged the jurors in a different way than the book said ... he quietly took me aside and suggested I change it back ... I declined. We laughed.
Mari and I spent a few days making apple pies ... your Dad would always come up for dinner on those days. We'd sit on the deck and chat. Sometimes eat fish.
Laughing, crying, all part of life. It all builds strength and character. And remember ... as long as the memories exist, he is alive.
Love you all.
