William R. Krieger

William Robert Krieger, the son of Arno and Hulda Krieger, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2013 at the age of 97. He was born on October 9, 1916 in Wisconsin and had been a 50 year resident of Palos Verdes, California. He had a passion for flight that started with barnstorming in his youth, which became a career in flight. He was in the Navy and flew in the South Pacific in WWII. He made a career in the FAA, where he was Chief of Flight Standards for the Western Region. He is now with the love of his life Jan, his one and only...William is survived by his beloved sons, John and Richard Krieger and grandchildren, Jonathan (Laura) Mann-Krieger and Jennifer Scruton. Services will be on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 10:00am at St Francis Episcopal Church 2200 Via Rosa in Palos Verdes Estates, CA. 90274 with burial site service following at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
