He was born on August 10, 1944, in Philadelphia. He was the son of the late William, Sr., and Anna (Mangano) LaGrossa.
Billy was known as the guy who walked everywhere. No matter where you looked there he was walking. He knew everyone in the neighborhood and loved helping them out with whatever they needed, whether it be mowing the lawn or help fixing a car, he was the go-to guy, as well as a jack of all trades. You name the job he did it. Billy also loved his trains. He could spend hours looking at them.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carmel (Amoroso) LaGrossa; his daughter, Lisa Kyle (LaGrossa) and son-in-law, William Kyle; and grandchildren, William, Jr. (Billy), Carly, and Andrew Kyle.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation from 11 AM-12 PM Friday, June 23, 2023, at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA 19074 where a memorial service will be held immediately after at 12 PM. Christian burial will follow in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
