William "Bill" Lambdin, 83, of Maryville, TN passed away on November 12, 2025, at home surrounded by family. Born on December 29, 1941, in White Oak to Harve and Cora Lambdin. Bill graduated from Jellico High School and immediately joined the Air Force where he proudly served our country for eight years. He worked at Y12/K25-OakRidge for 26 years. He was a former member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church and current member of Broadway Baptist Church. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan, loved to travel, spend time with family, and watch Maryville High School football. While he will be deeply missed by many, we are grateful that his battle with Alzheimer's and pancreatic cancer is finally over, and that his body and mind are completely restored! Preceded in death by parents, William "Harve" and Cora Lambdin; sisters: Opal Ridenour, Mable Ridenour, Martha Asher, Dorothy Burns, Margaret Christopher, and Anna Ruth Combs; first wife, Barbra "Bobbie Jo" Lambdin; daughter, Kimberly Parton; and granddaughter Heather Shelton. Bill is survived by loving wife, Carol Lambdin; granddaughter Keeley (Matt) Stephens; grandsons Austin (Kristen) Parton and Blake (Faith) Garland; son-in-law, Rod Parton; great grandchildren: Ainsley and Carson Stephens; stepchildren: Carla (Mike) Howard, Richard Eidson, Clint Eidson; grandchildren: Alex Eidson, Jacob Allen, Justin (Abby) Howard; sisters: Hazel Minton and Wilma Evans; brother-in-law's Jimmy Cromwell and Frank (Annette) Long; cousin John (Dot) Myers; special friends Art and Darlene Gartman, David and Karen Williams; special neighbor Laura and Sadie Gilbert; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to thank caretakers, Laura and Kent (Remain at Home), and UT Hospice for the care they provided throughout his illness and his final days. Family and friends will gather from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday November 18, 2025, at the Trinity Chapel at Smith's Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie McNutt and Rev. Tony Collins officiating, with the service to follow immediately. Burial will be at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday November 19, 2025, at The Veteran's Cemetery located on John Sevier Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Christmas Child.
