WAYNE -- William M. Lambert, age 89, of Wayne, Ohio passed away peacefully at The Willows in Bowling Green Ohio on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. He was born on February 3, 1937, in Monarch Virginia to the late Troy C. & Leona E. (Long) Lambert. Bill married the late Alice M. Schroeder on November 12, 1963, in Virginia. Alice preceded him in death on September 22, 2025.
Surviving Bill is sons, Douglas (Debra) Lambert of Bremerton, WA, Troy Lambert of Findlay, OH; daughter-in-law, Tressa Lambert of Bowling Green, OH; 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Troy & Leona, wife Alice M. Lambert, son Roger W. Lambert Sr., and brother Garrett Lambert.
Bill served his country in the United States Marine Corp. from 1956 until 1962. After the marines he worked for Chrysler Corporation as a machine operator. He belonged to the United Auto Workers (UAW) Retirees and was a former member of the Wayne Village Council.
Friends will be received from 4-8 PM on Friday March 6, 2026, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 am at Barndt Funeral Home with Reverend Mary Ann Siefke officiating. Burial will be at Graham Cemetery near Wayne, Ohio.
