William David Lewis, affectionately known as David, was a dedicated man whose life's work revolved around his passion for landscaping and his unwavering faith. Born in Eastland, Texas, on March 17, 1966, David's journey came to a peaceful close on April 1, 2024, in Temple, Texas.

Funeral services for David will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Faith Baptist Church in Temple. His graveside will follow in Eastland Texas at Eastland City Cemetery at 3:30 PM.

David was more than a businessman; he was a pillar of his community - known for his caring nature, kindness, and strong work ethic that stemmed from his deep-rooted faith. His landscaping business not only beautified outdoor spaces but also served as a testament to his commitment and love for the craft. His dedication knew no bounds as he spent many years perfecting his skills and sharing his talents with others.

Beyond his career achievements, David's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his sons and the love of his life, Cecilia. His marriage to Cecilia was a union filled with love and companionship that stood the test of time. Their bond was an inspiration to many and a testament to the values David held dear.

In addition to his wife Cecilia, David is survived by his sons Christopher and Antonio "Tony" Lewis, who will continue to carry on his legacy of hard work and compassion. He also leaves behind his brother Mike Lewis, and his sister, Freida Elsey, and four beloved grandchildren who will always hold a special place in their hearts for their "Paw Paw."

Among those who greeted David in heaven are his parents R.V. and Bobbie Lewis, his brother, Robert Lewis, his sister, Connie King, whose love and guidance helped shape the remarkable man he became.

David's hobbies included spreading the word of God and helping others in any way he could. His genuine desire to make the world a better place shone through in everything he did - from tending to gardens to spreading kindness wherever he went.

While we mourn the loss of such a remarkable soul, we find solace in knowing that William David Lewis left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched with his warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith.

Rest in peace, dear David. Your spirit will live on in the beauty you created and the hearts you've touched along the way.
