To Bill´s family....I only today hear that Bill has left our sides. My son was one of the invisible people that Bill cared for so deeply and without question. Bill touched so many in a honest and humble manner....I met with Bill in March and he never once indicated he was ill or was talking with Death. But this does not surprise me. A true man who took Christ at his Word; don´t judge, open your heart and arms, be there for those in need, treat others how you would like to be treated. What a blessing to so many. I know without a doubt that you must turn and anticipate his being there or just in the other room. Cherish your memories for they are of a rare and precious man! What a gift to have had time with him!

Tammey and family. We experienced Bill´s loving heart in many ways throughout the years that we´ve known you all. So many fond memories at baseball games and he was always so kind and helpful to Neil during his troubles. I know Neil had the greatest respect for him. Bill positively impacted so many people, too numerous to count. You all are in my prayers. May God wrap his loving arms around you all.

Great man. Bill and Tammy came and visited Cardiac ICU right after surgery. I was pretty much out of it but really apppreciated.

Tammey, Caitlin, Josh & family,
I feel so very honored to have met Bill (& Tammey) during youth group at Otterbein United Methodist Church, way back in the 80's. Good Heavens, Bill was headed for Sainthood way back then for having the patience to teach & "entertain" teenagers every Wednesday evening through the Lords words. Then, I worked with him at Charter Hospital where he told me all about his little boy, Josh, who took his football everywhere. Right there in the hallway at Charter Hospital, Bill threw the football to Josh and Josh ran for a touchdown. Bill smiled and giggled with love & pride. The patients, all ages, would hollar at him when he walked by as if he was one of their family members, best friend, and/or a hero. "Hi Bill! Hey, hey Bill! or Bill, Bill, Bill, B-I-LLLL!!" He had the patience of Job. And many years later, I had the pleasure of seeing him again, 1-2 times a month for 4-5 years, through our mutual work, me in nursing and Bill in the public defender office. There he was, again, very humble while assisting those in need. He was not a fancy, flashy person, even though he had the right to be, in my small opinion. He would tell me about the latest caper of one of his grandkids with a twinkle in his eye. There was something about him that drew me in. Anyway, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Continued prayers for you all. Heaven gained an Angel and as it was God's plan. I'm overly certain that Bill planned on Heaven, too.

I went to LHW with Bill. He was a great athlete and also one of the most popular guys. It sounds like LHW had a great influence on his life having him reach out to the needy, the ones that just needed the extra help thru life and Bill was able to provide that. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. RIP Bill

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Bill and have long considered him one of my favorite people for so long. He was full of compassion and more often an all around fun guy to talk to. He will be greatly missed!
